THE LONG ISLAND ROAD RUNNERS 
THIRTY FOURTH ANNUAL SCHEDULE

The Long Island Road Runners Club Management reserves the right to cancel or change race distances due to inclement weather. The LIRRC further reserves the right to change any race into an untimed race if there are problems with the race timing and results due to a system problem.

Per USATF Rules Race Registration Will Close 15 Minutes Before ALL Races.

Notes:

1. No Event - Long Island State Park Winter Run Series.

2. Group Fun Runs are from February 7th to February 28nd: No Registration, no fee, no amenities, just show up to run. Members and non-members are invited to participate.

3. The Long Island Marathon/Half Marathon/10K, although not an LIRRC event, appear on the calendar as a courtesy for our members. Contact the Nassau County Parks Dept. (516-572-0200) or visit the web site for the Long Island Marathon.
 

4. The Wednesday night summer series is scheduled as follows for each week:

     6:25 PM - Pee Wee 200 Meter Fun Run - - Fee $1.00, Ribbons to all participants.
     6:30 PM - Youth 1 Mile Fun Run - - Fee $1.00, Ribbons to all participants.
     6:45 PM - Registration for the 5K Race will close. 
     7:00 PM - 5 K Race -- Fees: $5.00 for members; $9.00 for non-members; $4.00 for physically challenged and members over 60.

• Day-of-race registration only -- No pre-registration
• Age Policy: Entrants must be at least 13 years of age to register and run in any races 10K and over. Age 12 and under is a non-competitive category, and get finisher ribbons.
• All club races start at the Field House located behind the tennis courts, near parking field #2 in Eisenhower Park (off Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow). For directions to the park, use the address: 1878 Hempstead Tpke., East Meadow, NY in Yahoo Maps.
• 5-Year Age Group Awards 3 Deep - Up to 70+. No competitive awards for ages 12 and under -- all 12 and under entrants will receive the same award
• All events are sanctioned by USA Track & Field and Long Island Road Runners Club
• Walkers and physically challenged welcome
• Barbecues (free hot dogs) once a month during the Summer Series. Please bring your own beverages.
• Free coffee, hot chocolate and bagels for Sunday races
• Races are subject to change or cancellation due to park activity. Call club hotline for up-to-date race information.
• MAIN RACES:
  $5 - club members
  $9 - non-members
  $4 - 60 years and over members
  $4 - Physically challenged runners
  $1 - Youth 1 Mile Fun Run
  $1 - 200 Meter Pee Wee Run
• Memberships - $16 Individual, $21 Family
• Registration for ALL races will close 15 minutes before race time, per USATF rules.
